Detailed Architecture

This is a photo for detailed architecture. The main thing that stands out to me here is the lines. There are several parallel lines curving sideways while there are more pines in the pillars leading upward. I also used the Principle of Design, value. a light shines through the top windows which give us our light vales and there are several dark lines on each of the pillars which helps show the dark values at work here. I definately took this picture at a dramatic angle. I took if from that much below because I wanted to emphasize the height in the picture and lead the viewer's eye towards the ceiling. I use this for detailed architecture because you can see every detail that this building contains. The lines that cascade throughout is one thing, but you can also see all of the textures that contradict each other in this photo. The fact that I made it in black and white further emphasizes the variety because it leaves no distractions from the textures and lines in the photo.

  2. Alan, I really like this picture. I like the curvy lines of the building. There is also some very good value in the picture from the black at the bottom of the picture to the top with the light window. Great shot.
